Empowerment Series Workshop

Our empowerment workshops are a series of educational trainings addressing a variety of topics dedicated to providing women in reentry with the tools needed to succeed.
This month's training will be 'Interrupting Oppression,' facilitated by Shamona Kirkland, a NY Statewide Trainer for the Mental Health Empowerment Project (MHEP). This interactive workshop explores how peer support values can guide us in recognizing, addressing, and interrupting oppression in real time. Participants will build skills to navigate difficult conversations, practice ethical courage, and foster inclusive spaces rooted in mutual respect and accountability.
