Jessica Yactayo

Jessica Yactayo serves as a Communications Consultant for New Hour. She plays an active role in managing our social media pages and creating content for New Hour, such as literature, flyers and graphics. Jess is a licensed social worker, obtaining her Master’s degree from Stony Brook University with a specialization in Families, Youth, and Transition to Adulthood. In addition to her work at New Hour, she also works for Suffolk County Family Court, conducting supervised visitations between children and non-custodial parents. Between this and being an adult child of a formerly incarcerated parent, Jess knows how deeply incarceration impacts the family system and is passionate about working with families on mending parent-child relationships. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting and playing with her dogs.
